Accu-Cast's 380-CC alginate was formulated specifically for baby hand casting. We recommend the use of 95F water when working with babies. By the time the alginate is mixed and ready it has cooled to 90-92F, which is the same as baby skin temperature. If the baby is asleep during the procedure, the warm alginate doesn't wake them up. If they are awake they are very easy to distract. We have had very high success rates with this alginate.
