Pablo Vierci nacio en Montevideo en 1950. Su primera novela Los tramoyistas (1979) se tradujo al portugues (Os trampolineiros 1983) y al ingles (The imposters 1987). Fue reeditada como Los gringos (2000). Luego escribio las novelas Pequena historia de una mujer (1984) Detras de los arboles (1987 segundo Premio Nacional de Literatura de Uruguay) y 99 asesinado (2004) que tambien obtuvo el segundo Premio Nacional de Literatura de Uruguay. Escribio guiones para documentales y largometrajes. Tres de estos ultimos fueron: Aqueles dois (Brasil 1985) El vinedo (Uruguay 1999 Premio Fona) y Matar a todos (Uruguay Argentina y Chile 2007) que recibio el Premio al Mejor Guion en el 29 Festival de Cine de La Habana y el Premio al Mejor Guion en el 14 Festival de Cine de Lerida (2008).
