Our FASCIA MOUNT TERMINAL POST is engineered specifically to withstand the applied stress when each wire rope is tensioned. Each aluminum railing post is manufactured from 6063 T6 aluminum with reinforced walls. Avoid competitor hollow posts that are designed for glass infill. When the cables are tightened in these cable railings, the posts tend to deflect, so the installer must decrease cable tension to reduce the bending.
Terminal posts come either pre-drilled with powder-coated holes which eliminates many hours of installation labor, or un-drilled which are used on stairs or ramps.
Aluminum posts are designed for through post cable end fittings only.
The FASCIA MOUNT TERMINAL POST mounts directly to the rim joist or fascia board by attachment hardware. Usually these are hex bolts (sold separately).

The Swage Lag End screws directly into your 4x4 (Min.) post.If using a 4x4 single wood post corner, you will need to offset the cable strands about 1/2" to prevent the fittings from colliding into each other. It is recommended that your single wood post corners are 6x6 for the cable strands to be even all across your system. If you combine 6x6 terminal posts with 4x4 intermediate posts, be mindful of the 4" gap you will still have to maintain from the edge if deck mounting or fascia mounting on the inside face of the deck.
